Can you be there for a local parent?
Just to let them know they are not alone, that parenting is hard, that it will be overwhelming and exhausting at times, that you know how that feels.
We are recruiting for Family Support Volunteers to join our team, offering face to face or telephone support to local families. You will receive a 5 week training course and full supervision and support from our staff team. Our next course of preparation will start September 26th 2023.
Our sessions will be
26th September 2023. (Virtual session) 9:30am – 12:30pm
The following sessions are held in person at the Cornerstone office, in the comfortable Volunteer Lounge, 9.30am – 2:30pm. Refreshments from 9:15am.
3rd October 2023 Role of a Home-Start Volunteer
10th Oct 2023 Supporting Parents and Children’s needs.
17th Oct 2023 Listening and Communication
24th Oct 2023 Safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.
