We have a number of volunteering roles, we have vacancies in all roles, in particular we are looking for people who want to help us as an Admin Support Volunteer and a Keep in Touch Volunteer, details on all of our role profiles are highlighted below:

Parent to Parent Family Support Volunteer

Parent to Parent Family Support Volunteers will visit families in their homes once a week to provide hands on practical and emotional support for parents and children up to the age of 11yrs as part of our Parenting Together project.

Time 4 You Family Support Volunteer

Volunteers in this role will provide phone or video calls to matched families once a week to provide emotional support and offer information advice and guidance to parents of children up to the age of 11yrs as part of our Parenting Together project.

BookStart Volunteer

BookStart Volunteers will provide 4 weekly Bookstart sessions as part of the Book Trust initative for families who wish to receive Bookstart as a stand-alone activity or for families as part of their ongoing family support.

Admin Support Volunteer

Volunteers in this role will be supporting the volunteer and office coordinators with administration tasks in the Home-Start office.

Home-Start Together Community Group Volunteer

Volunteers in this role will support the community engagement worker to deliver our community group session for families with children aged 0 – 4 years old in the Newcastle-under-Lyme and Kidsgrove area as part of our Parenting Together project. Volunteers may choose to support with all aspects of the role, or may wish to help with specific tasks, such as just setting up or only with the sessions themselves.

Keep In Touch Volunteer

Families are referred for Home-Start support every week and at times, there can a wait for support to begin. The keep in touch volunteer makes regular contact with families on the waiting list on behalf of Home-Start, until the allocated worker or volunteer begins their support.
