Can you be there for a local parent?
Just to let them know they are not alone, that parenting is hard, that it will be overwhelming and exhausting at times, that you know how that feels.
We are recruiting for Family Support Volunteers to join our team, offering face to face or telephone support to local families. You will receive a 5 week training course and full supervision and support from our staff team. Our next course of preparation will start Monday 2nd June 2025
Our sessions will be held at our Knutton office at Cornerstone and will cover
Monday 2nd June – Introduction to Home-Start – 9.30 – 2.30
Monday 9th June – Role of a volunteer – 9.30 – 2.30
Monday 16th June – Supporting parents and meeting the needs of the children – 9.30 – 2.30
Monday 23rd June – Listening and Communication and introduction to Healthy Happy Homes – 9.30 – 2.30
Monday 30th June – Safeguarding level 1 – 9.30 – 2.30
