Can you be there for a local parent?
Just to let them know they are not alone, that parenting is hard, that it will be overwhelming and exhausting at times, that you know how that feels.
We are recruiting for Family Support Volunteers to join our team, offering face to face or telephone support to local families. You will receive a 5 week training course and full supervision and support from our staff team. Our next course of preparation will start Monday 8th September 2025
All sessions are face to face in our offices in Knutton, all 9.30am – 2.30pm. Lunch is provided
Monday 8th September – Welcome to Home-Start
Monday 15th September – Role of a volunteer
Monday 22nd September – Supporting parents and meeting the needs of the children
Monday 29th September – Listening and communication
Monday 6th October – Safeguarding level 1
