Can you be there for a local parent?
Just to let them know they are not alone, that parenting is hard, that it will be overwhelming and exhausting at times, that you know how that feels.
We are recruiting for Family Support Volunteers to join our team, offering face to face or telephone support to local families. You will receive a 5 week training course and full supervision and support from our staff team. Our next course of preparation will start 28th January 2025
Our sessions will be held at our Knutton office at Cornerstone and will cover
Tuesday 28th January – Introduction to Home-Start – 9.30 – 12.30
Tuesday 4th February – Role of a volunteer – 9.30 – 2.30
Tuesday 11th February – Supporting parents and meeting the needs of the children – 9.30 – 2.30
***Break for Half Term***
Tuesday 25th February – Listening and Communication and introduction to Healthy Happy Homes – 9.30 – 2.30
Tuesday 4th March – Safeguarding level 1 – 9.30 – 2.30
