Can you be there for a local parent?
Just to let them know they are not alone, that parenting is hard, that it will be overwhelming and exhausting at times, that you know how that feels.
We are recruiting for Family Support Volunteers to join our team, offering face to face or telephone support to local families. You will receive a 5 week training course and full supervision and support from our staff team. Our next course of preparation will start 10th September 2024
Our sessions will be
10th September 2024. (Virtual session) Welcome to Home-Start 9:30am – 12:30pm
The following sessions are held in person at the Cornerstone office, in the comfortable Volunteer Lounge, 9.30am – 2:30pm. Refreshments from 9:15am.
17th September 2024 Role of a Home-Start Volunteer
24th September 2024 Supporting Parents and meeting the needs of the children
1st October 2024 Listening and Communication, and Health, Happy Homes
8th October 2024 Safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.
