How to apply for a role

Simply fill out and submit the Volunteer Enquiry Form, you can revisit the roles description page here, or the trustee role here.

When we have received your enquiry we will contact you by telephone to have an informal chat and arrange a time to meet face to face. Depending on the role that you are interested in we will agree next stages including training and safeguarding checks so that you can begin your volunteer journey with us.

Please note

Safeguarding is of paramount importance to Home-Start Newcastle, as such, part of the application process involves the completion of an enhanced DBS check. Disclosures will provide details of a person’s criminal record, including convictions, cautions, reprimands and warning held on the National Police Computer. Disclosures will also contain details of those considered to be unsuitable for working with children.

    Family Support Volunteer

    The minimum time commitment we ask of our family support volunteers is 2- 3 hours per week and to commit to this for at least one year. This will also include occasional additional time for training and support/supervision.
